SAIL Lower Primary

At SAIL International School, our Lower Primary stage builds on early foundations as children begin to flourish as independent, curious learners.

Through an engaging blend of Poland’s Early School Education programme and the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, we inspire a love of discovery while equipping every child with the skills and confidence to thrive in an international world.

Learning Stages

At SAIL, classmates come from many different countries, each with its own school system and a specific age for starting school. To help you understand our approach, please refer to the overview of our learning stages. In Poland, primary school usually begins at age 7 latest, after an obligatory “Zero” class — known at SAIL as our “Reception Class – P1.”
Classes P2 to P4 use an integrated learning approach called "Early School Education", with most lessons led by one form teacher. This dedicated teacher typically stays with the same class throughout all three years, providing stability and a strong sense of community.

Let`s SAIL together!

Empathetic, dedicated Teaching Team

Our Kindergarten and Lower Primary is a warm and vibrant learning community where children from around the world learn, play, and grow together under the care of our dedicated teaching team from 4 continents.

International Classes

Classes are intentionally international, with students representing many cultural backgrounds. As a general policy, we aim to have no more than 50% of any one national group in a class, whenever possible. This balance helps ensure that English naturally becomes the naturally shared language of learning, play, and friendship, allowing every child to feel included and confident from the very beginning.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At SAIL, we believe that children learn best by doing. Real experiences make lessons come alive and stay in the heart much longer than theory alone. Our Lower Primary pupils explore the world around them through regular outings to museums, science centers, cultural sites, and parks, connecting classroom topics with hands-on discovery.

A wide range of after-school clubs invites children to develop their talents and try something new — from LEGO-Robotics, pottery, and dance to computer club, soccer, art, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Being Part of the SAIL Family

Throughout the year, our young learners take part in joyful school events such as International Day, Chinese New Year, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, the Easter Egg Hunt, and pumpkin carving with parents, just to name a few.

At the Charity Christmas Market and the end-of-year performance, every child—from kindergarten to high school—has a special role, helping each learner feel like an important part of the SAIL family. Parents and families are warmly encouraged to join in many school events and celebrations alongside their children.

Snapshots of these moments of creativity and community can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
